You won’t be just a ‘passenger’ in our program
On the rare occasions when a civilian is permitted to fly in a Defence Force jet, they must undergo an extensive pre-flight training program to ensure that their and the aircrafts’ safety is not compromised.
This is also an essential part of preparation for flight in ex-military aircraft operating in civilian hands.
It is not only required to maximise flight safety, but also part of an experience that we believe you will appreciate and enjoy.
It will add to and enhance your subsequent flight experience considerably.
It’s a separate process to the specifics of the flight, and will take some time to be absorbed.
You’re not just a passenger in either of our programs.
You will be regarded either as an Observer of, or Candidate for entrance into the Flight Crew program, and prepared for your flight as such.
It requires a dedicated training process.
We believe this will be interesting and informative, demanding and fulfilling, and will enhance your subsequent flight experience to a very high degree.
It will take about two to three hours for Candidates, about an hour less for Observers, and is an essential safety procedure.
(Allow about most of a morning or afternoon with us for your involvement, including the flight and associated briefings.).
For Observers, this is limited to regulatory and safety matters; Candidates are additionally introduced to deeper levels of discussion and training, including situational awareness and involvement, and G-suit features and usage.
This will bring you to your flight informed, aware and competent, well prepared to experience it in as safe and enjoyable a manner as possible.
It’s also an insight into the world of military aviation infrastructure, different and fascinating. We believe you will enjoy it.
